Here are our recommendations for events and exhibitions to add to your 2024/25 events calendar
The UK’s events and exhibitions calendar is busiest in late autumn and early winter when exhibitors and visitors flock to city venues nationwide.
Birmingham is no exception, with several major events taking place from September to February.
If you’re planning your exhibition calendar for the second half of 2024 and are considering exhibiting in the Midlands, you’re in luck. We’ve pulled together a list of exhibitions in Birmingham (and Coventry!) that our clients love and that we think would be worth attending.
Exhibitions for businesses and organisations in manufacturing, engineering and construction

If you want to exhibit at Solar and Storage Live 2024, you need to act quickly to secure your space and stand – they’re selling fast.
PPMA Show

Organisers anticipate that 330+ exhibitors and 8000+ visitors will attend PPMA Show 2024.
The event is the UK’s leading production line exhibition, showcasing processing and packaging machinery, robotics, and industrial vision. It will bring together suppliers and end users under one roof, helping visitors find the best solutions for their business needs.
This is another event that is filling up fast, so don’t hesitate to book a space if you think this should feature on your exhibition calendar.
UK Construction Week Birmingham
1-3 Oct 2024, NEC Birmingham
UK Construction Week (UKCW) is a must-attend gathering of construction manufacturers and suppliers targeting the Midlands region.
This exhibition is actually a series of smaller shows all taking place under one roof, including Build Live, Onsite On Hire, and Grand Designs Live.If October is a bit too soon for you, UK Construction Week London will take place at ExCeL London from 6-8 May 2025.
The Engineering Design Show
9-10 October 2024, Coventry Building Society Arena
Okay, so this isn’t strictly an exhibition in Birmingham, but it’s happening only a stone’s throw away and is an excellent event, so it’s still worth mentioning.
The Engineering Design Show should be on your events calendar if you want direct access to engineering decision-makers and buyers. 80% of the show’s attendees have purchasing power or influence within their organisation, so it’s the ideal event for getting your products and services in front of prime stakeholders.
Highways UK
16-17 October, NEC Birmingham
If you want to engage with prospects involved in the highways supply chain, this exhibition is for you.
With over 375 exhibitors and 350 speakers, as well as an expected 10,000+ attendees, Highways UK will bring together the people responsible for planning, developing, managing, maintaining, and future-proofing the UK’s road networks.
“Both the NEC and Coventry Building Society Arena (formerly the Ricoh Arena) lend themselves to showcasing brands within the construction and engineering fields as there is space to display large products.
“But, if you have huge vehicles or products that would need to be mechanically moved onto an exhibition stand, then we’d recommend you choose an event at The NEC.”

The World of Learning Conference & Exhibition

Exhibitions for hospitality and food brands

Exhibitions for brands and organisations working in gifting and retail
Spring Fair
2-5 Feb 2025, NEC Birmingham

The audience is knowledgeable and influential – 84% of the event’s visitors have purchasing responsibility within their organisation.
The 2025 event will mark the 75th anniversary of the exhibition, so it’s fair to say that there will be a few surprises in store! If this is an event you’ve been unsure about attending before, we’d definitely recommend giving this big birthday edition a go.
“Anyone working in retail will know about Spring Fair.
“Unlike visitors to other retail events, such as the Harrogate Christmas and Gift exhibition in January, Spring Fair attendees want to buy for the season ahead. They’re likely to make instant orders and instant sales.
“If you want to talk to buying prospects in retail, this is the show to exhibit at”.
