Are you trying to find the perfect exhibition stand for your event in London?
Then look no further – we’re here to help you get the most out of your exhibition stand and event
We’ve built our fair share of exhibition stands in London – here’s what we’ve learned
With several exhibition venues right in the heart of one of the best cities in the world, international visitors galore and plenty of opportunities for entertaining your guests after the show day has ended, tradeshows in London can be hugely successful if managed correctly.
However, each venue has its own quirks and traits that you should be mindful of if you want to exhibit there.
As experienced exhibition stand contractors covering London, we’ve gathered all the research on exhibiting in the capital, so you don’t have to.
If you’re exhibiting in London, our stand designers will need to know which venue you’re heading to, the space you’ve booked, your target audience, and what you want to achieve from the exhibition. Nothing we do is off-the-shelf; we don’t work like that because each venue and event is different.
“This process ensures you get a stand that totally reflects your brand and exceeds your expectations.”

Popular London exhibition venues
From the ultra-modern to the more traditional, London is home to some of Europe’s premier exhibition and events venues.
DS Smith, bespoke exhibition stand, London Olympia
London Olympia
London Olympia, is known for its stunning Victorian architecture. The venue’s arched glass roof bathes the main exhibition halls in natural sunlight, making it a magnificent place to exhibit and visit.
It does have the unique challenge of a slightly uneven floor, so if you’re exhibiting there and are thinking of building your stand yourself, our recommendation is not to!

Qualitops, exhibition stand hire, IFE London, ExCeL London
ExCeL London
ExCel London – known more commonly by exhibitors, visitors, and contractors as “The ExCeL” – is one of Europe’s biggest exhibition venues. It has an indoor floor space of 100,000m² broken into two huge event halls, plus a vast outdoor area that often serves as an al-fresco extension to events taking place inside.
The key to exhibition success at The ExCeL is making sure your bespoke exhibition stand doesn’t get lost in the sea of other exhibitors. Luckily, we’ve got plenty of experience building showstopping custom exhibition stands designs at this premier London venue.
Budvar, custom exhibition stand, National Geographic Traveller Food Festival, Business Design Centre London
Business Design Centre
You’ll struggle to find a more challenging venue to build an exhibition stand at (except maybe Truman’s Brewery). The Business Design Centre’s key features are awful parking, tiny delivery spaces and a lift the size of a postage stamp.
However, from an exhibitor’s point of view, the event space itself is really nice – it just needs an expert touch to maximise your investment and manage logistics. So, if you’re attending an exhibition or conference here, make sure you’re working with a stand contractor.
Brew Tea Co, Bespoke exhibition stand, London Coffee Festival, Truman Brewery
The Truman Brewery
This central London venue is trendy with a vibrant feel to it. It has a great layout, and visitors love attending events here.
However, building and dismantling an exhibition stand at The Truman Brewery requires military precision planning. It’s a truly awful venue to get in and out of with a van, and there are no parking or drop-off spots (the traffic wardens have a field day!).
If you’ve invested in a stand space here, you’ll need the help of an exhibition stand builder familiar with its nuances.
Janome, bespoke exhibition stand, Knitting and Stitching Show, Alexandra Palace London
Alexandra Palace
Set in 196 acres of lush parkland and with gorgeous views across London, Alexandra Palace’s magnificent Victorian building hosts a wide range of both indoor and outdoor events and has done so since it opened in 1873.
The events here tend to be smaller, but that’s not bad. It means if you get your stand design right, you’ll have the pick of a really engaged audience. And, of course, that’s what we’re here to help you with.
From a stand contractor’s perspective, the logistics here are well-managed, and there’s good accessibility.
Budvar, custom exhibition stand, London Craft Beer Festival, Tobacco Dock
Tobacco Dock
Tobacco Dock is a real hybrid of architectural design, with its traditional heritage buildings now mixed with ultra-modern workspaces, conference suites and event halls.
The interesting surroundings mean it’s a fun place to exhibit at, but this is one venue where stand design and build are definitely best left to the professionals. The loading bay is tiny, set-up logistics are tricky, and finding space to leave a van is nigh-on impossible.
Budvar, custom exhibition stand, Taste of London, Regents Park
Regents Park
Regents Park is one of the most stunning outdoor venues in the UK. It hosts major events such as concerts, festivals, and the annual Taste of London event.
We regularly build bespoke exhibition stands and booths for this London venue and have designed and installed several interactive creations featuring furniture, games, and fridges to keep products cool (a must-have requirement if you’re exhibiting or trading at one of their summertime events!).
IPL, shell scheme stand, QEII Centre London
QEII
Located in the heart of London near the Houses of Parliament, The QEII Centre is one of London’s smaller conference, exhibition, and meeting venues.
It has a capacity of 2,500 people with 32 different event spaces and holds around 400 events a year.
Because of its smaller size, it’s a particularly popular venue for one-day exhibitions, AGMs, and corporate conferences and events.
Similarly to Regents Park, access to this venue is easy insomuch that it’s right in Central London, but that can also make getting there by road tricky if you get stuck in London traffic.

FAQs
What types of exhibition exhibitions do you offer?
Modular exhibition stands
The beauty of modular exhibition systems is their flexibility.
They’re also an excellent option for companies that aren’t quite ready to commit to buying their own booth or don’t have the storage facilities to store one between events.
Modular exhibition stand designs can be created using a mixture of bought, hired, recycled, and reused elements. They are lighter to transport, making them a sustainably conscious choice.
Custom exhibition stands
The beauty of a custom exhibition stand design is that it can be tailored to meet every brand requirement, including budget.
A custom exhibition stand design will give you maximum flexibility. And if you add hired elements, the creative options are endless. You can choose to theme it or make a bold statement with a double-deck design to create an upstairs meeting and entertainment space.
Shell scheme exhibition stands
A shell scheme sand is a great way to exhibit if this is your first foray into large-scale events or if you’re a business that wants to exhibit in different zones of the same exhibition venue.
With the right approach, a shell scheme stand can be an incredibly flexible, visually effective, lead-generating investment – and you don’t have to break the bank to achieve it.
London exhibition stand hire prices
Exhibition stand – or booth hire is an economical option if you plan to exhibit less regularly, are looking to try a new concept due to a rebrand, or are new to exhibiting and want to see how well it works for you before committing to your own stand in London.
Several factors will influence the price to hire, including:
- Size of the space you have booked
- The destination of your exhibition space
- What you are looking to achieve from exhibiting
- The product or service you are showcasing
Our friendly exhibition team is experienced at walking you through the process. Our booth designers will give you all the support you need to achieve a booth that looks and feels like your own whilst attracting your target audience.
Can I hire a modular exhibition system?
Hiring a modular exhibition system is ideal if you’re looking for flexibility without overheads or storage issues. They are completely customisable, flexible, and adaptable – if you need to change some of your graphics to suit the audience of another division or team within your company who wishes to use your stand, no problem!
We can work with you to create a modular stand that makes an impact without starting a design and building from scratch every time. We also give you the opportunity to see your stand fully set up before the big day to make sure you are 100% happy.
Our company isn’t from the UK. Can you build a stand for us for an exhibition in London?
Absolutely! We’ve built custom exhibition stands for companies from all over Europe that have attended events in London.
We can also help you with the logistics of getting show kit in and out of the country, if you’re bringing anything with you.
How will I know what my exhibition stand will look like?
Are you worried about whether your stand will look different from the visual you approved on paper? You don’t need to be; our London exhibition stand build team will construct it in our workshop before the exhibition so you can see the stand exactly as it will look on the big day.
We want you to turn up at your exhibition stand at the venue knowing what to expect, having seen it in the flesh a few weeks prior.
If we work with you, can you take our supplies to the London venue?
Yes! You can ship your materials to us, and we will pack them up with the rest of your stand for transportation. If you’re travelling by train, the last thing you want to do is take a load of brochures, iPads and products with you, so we organise your exhibition booth logistics as part of a project price.
Or, save the space in your suitcase and hire iPads etc from us! You can hire furniture, AV equipment, and a wide range of props and stand accessories.
