Trime UK custom trade show stand case study at Executive Hire Show, a front-of-hall launch stand for new machinery

Trime UK partnered with Motive Exhibitions for the first time at Executive Hire Show in Coventry, securing a larger space at the front of the entrance hall for their ninth consecutive year at the show. The build incorporated green LED lighting and logistics planning for two large machines, one weighing two tonnes, and a new product launch.

For their ninth year at Executive Hire Show, Trime UK did things differently.

It was their first time working with Motive Exhibitions. They’d secured a larger trade show stand space and a prime position right at the front of the entrance hall. They also had an important new product ready to launch.

Making the most of a prime position

When you’re the first stand visitors see as they walk through the doors, you have to look the part.

The space needed to feel open, confident and ready for serious machinery. With two large machines positioned within the space, one weighing two tonnes, layout and logistics had to be spot on.

We built height into a modular structure that incorporated custom-built elements, giving Trime flexibility for future events without compromising on finish. Green LED lighting was inlaid directly into the framework, creating clean lines of light that elevated the structure and reinforced Trime’s brand colour from across the hall.

Strategically placed planters introduced texture and softened the overall look, balancing the scale of the machinery. Trime’s logo was inlaid into the flooring, grounding the brand within the space and adding another layer of considered detail.

The result was a structure with presence, without feeling overpowering.

Standing out in a machinery-heavy hall

At Executive Hire Show, large machinery is the norm. Every stand has it.

So it’s not just about what you display, it’s how you build around it.

We made sure there was clear, natural flow around the equipment, with open space that allowed visitors to step in rather than squeeze past. The layout gave the Trime team room to stop, talk and properly introduce their new product without the space feeling crowded.

The week before the show, Trime visited our workshop to see everything fully pre-built. They walked the layout, checked the details and knew exactly what would be waiting for them at the CBS Arena.

No guesswork. No surprises.

A trade show stand built for more than one show

Although this delivered on day one, it wasn’t built for one event.

Every element was designed with reuse in mind. The framework, graphics and key components can be reconfigured, protecting long-term value while maintaining a strong, consistent presence.

When the show closed, it didn’t go to waste. Everything was dismantled, packed down and stored, ready for its next outing.

Ten years in, their biggest stand yet

Trime UK have exhibited at the Executive Hire Show for a decade. This year was their biggest stand ever – a significant investment and, by their own description, a big deal. They came to Motive having already worked with us on signage for their new building in Huntingdon, where the way we work gave them the confidence to explore what we could do for their exhibition presence.

The design process pulled in elements from previous successful stands, rebuilt into something new. The prebuild workshop visit sealed it – they walked the stand before it ever reached Coventry and knew exactly what was coming.
