Mace partnered with Motive Exhibitions for Executive Hire Show at Coventry Arena, commissioning a modular trade show stand built around a full-height LED video wall visible from across the show floor. The stand combined freestanding backlit panels, prominent machinery display space and a modular framework designed to reuse at future events

Built to stand out

Executive Hire Show is not short on machinery or competition.

Mace needed a trade show stand that would hold its own in a busy hall while still offering flexibility for future events. The brief focused on strong visual impact, modular framework, a full-height LED video wall, prominent machinery display and space for conversations.

LED video wall at full height

The centrepiece of the stand was a full-height LED video wall.

Visible from a distance, it gave Mace immediate presence on the show floor. The scale of the screen created a strong focal point, drawing visitors in and reinforcing brand messaging for all of their brands throughout the event.

Freestanding backlit panels were added to give depth and clarity to the branding. Combined with the LED wall, these illuminated elements created a layered finish that stood out in a competitive environment.

Machinery, space and flexibility

Displaying machinery directly on a trade show stand takes careful planning.

Working closely with Mace, the modular trade show stand layout was developed around how they wanted to use the space, ensuring machinery positioning, access and visitor flow worked exactly as required. Comfortable seating and generous open space were incorporated so the team could have conversations without the stand feeling crowded.

The stand was built using a reconfigurable structure, allowing it to be adapted for different layouts and future events without compromising on impact.

As we put the finishing touches in place ahead of the first day at the CBS Arena Coventry, the result was clear. A trade show stand that balanced scale, practicality and presence.

From self-build to sorted Mace had exhibited at the Executive Hire Show four or five times before – always building the stand themselves, which by their own description was “an absolute nightmare.” Late nights on pack-down day, a tired team, and all the stress of doing it in-house. This was their first show with Motive, and the difference was immediate. Setup and shutdown handled, no last-minute panic, and a video wall that – in their words – was “unreal.”
