Motive Exhibitions built a bespoke, French café-style exhibition stand for 1883 Syrups, part of Routin SAS. It was built for the London Coffee Festival at The Truman Brewery, London. This was 1883 Syrups’ first time exhibiting in the UK, despite already having a strong presence on the continent. It was also their first project working with us.
Bringing a French café feel to the London Coffee Festival
1883 Syrups came to us wanting their first UK stand to feel like a genuine French café. The goal wasn’t a hard sell, it was brand awareness. They’re a well-established name in Europe, looking to become just as familiar a face in the UK. The centrepiece was a bar built around their own coffee machine, sink and fridge. A custom shop canopy sat overhead, with shelving to show off the full syrup range.
A window onto Paris
We built a window frame into the stand with a screen inside it. Looking through gave visitors a view of Paris, alongside promotional content about 1883 Syrups. A premium coffee table and chairs gave visitors somewhere to sit. An LED sign on the stand front helped it stand out on the show floor.
A mix of hired and bespoke elements
The floor, walling, TV, lighting, fridge and sink all came from our hire range. Each one was chosen to fit the French café theme, rather than picked off the shelf. The bar and canopy were built bespoke for 1883 Syrups, with signage produced by our sister company, Motive Graphics. It’s a mix that let the stand feel entirely built for them, without every element starting from scratch. Following how the show went, 1883 Syrups are planning further shows with us.
“It made you feel like you were in a French coffee shop. The bar was really well designed with their activities in mind, with a lip around the edge to hide all the gubbins, the dirty stuff, the pipework, but it still looked like a French shop. The wood effect on everything made it feel very premium and suited their brand.”
