Joe and Seph’s partnered with Motive Exhibitions for Lunch! at ExCeL London, bringing a space-only exhibition stand built on five years of existing elements, added to and reconfigured for each show. Recycled wooden apple crates, fresh vinyl wraps on existing timber panels, festoon lights and warm props gave the stand a completely new look without starting from scratch. For a family-owned, hand-made food brand, the approach matched their values as much as their budget.
A new look with recycled products
Joe and Seph’s wanted us to create a space-only stand that looked brand new but actually featured as many elements from previous shows as possible.
Adapting a previous stand design
We’ve enjoyed a long and successful working relationship with Joe and Seph’s. They’re seasoned exhibitors, and this stand has been reused and reconfigured for the past five years.
We needed to take design elements and structures from their previous stands but make this version look brand new, so show visitors weren’t getting a feeling of deja vu!
Warm colours and a cosy atmosphere
We considered two options using the existing stand design structure: a full repaint, or using wraps on the panels. After some discussion, Joe and Seph’s decided they wanted to opt for the wraps. So, we used the existing timber panels and totally covered them – almost like a canvas – in vinyl, so the stand design looked brand new.
Recycled wooden apple crates were stacked and fixed to create a unique shelving and display system, and we added festoon lights, fairy lights, and props in lots of warm colours to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. All of this matched the company’s brand and ethics: hand-made products created by a family-owned business.
What we created can easily be re-used (or adapted) again, meaning the Joe and Seph’s team can get even more mileage out of their original stand infrastructure.
