the brief

IPL Global has put sustainability at the forefront of its packaging solutions and were keen to make a statement at Let’s Recycle, an important exhibition in the calendar for thousands of waste and recycling professionals.With the introduction of the Plastic Tax, IPL wanted a stand that could creatively show off their products and maximise the recycling theme and positive credentials of the products they were showcasing.

Making a statement on a budget

We had some great ideas on how to incorporate IPL’s products into a large scale stand that would put them front and centre of their target audience. With the initial concepts signed off, we had news that the budgets had been cut significantly, but the stand space remained the same. The challenge was on!

Creativity on a deadline

We had to get creative quickly. With the event nudging ever closer, we needed to work out a way of creating a large stand with an eco feel on a budget, which could also be reused for other booked exhibitions. We didn’t see it as a problem, we saw it as a challenge and we excel at those.

Designed with flexibility in mind

We set about combining IPL’s products with cost-effective materials that could be either recycled or repurposed. We printed the shell scheme graphics on card material that could be recycled and produced roller banners that could be reused. One key product was the new kitchen caddies. We created a kitchen counter so visitors could see the product in situ and make the scene as realistic as possible.

We bought other IPL products into the stand design to fill the space and promote other areas of the business. We reused IPL’s eco crates and reused a light-up desk made of the crates that had been used at another exhibition earlier in the year.

What Made This Project Unique

We ticked every box of the revised brief: promoted the eco credentials of key product lines; filled a large exhibition space creatively; met a significantly smaller budget mid project and turned it around on a tight timeline.
