the brief
Casino affiliate marketing specialists, LeoVegas are a business who go about doing things differently which is getting them noticed. LeoVegas wanted to partner with new exhibition designers who would add creative flair and excitement to their ideas and bring their exhibition stand to life. The traditional rule book was ripped up in favour of a jungle and tropical-inspired theme to match their desire to be ‘King of Casino’ with their lion head branding.
Designed with flexibility in mind
LeoVegas came up with an idea with so much potential that we could take it from ‘great’ to ‘show stopping’. We created several visuals for the team to consider. We also added in extra touches we knew would give it the edge. We initially designed it to fit 3 different stands at 3 different exhibitions in completely different locations across the UK and Europe.
The structure of the stand was key. We wanted to create a soft tactile feel, so we combined custom-built elements in timber, with modular elements. We even considered the types of light fittings to ensure we maintained the aesthetics in the small details. We originally chose live plants for the stand, but considering it would be used again, we chose synthetic plants which could be reused multiple times in the future.

For the large back wall we used a modular system, that was lighter and smaller to transport which we could easily customise with purpose-built elements.

Social spaces
We designed zoned areas for socialising with guests which would convey the feeling of sitting in the jungle for a tactile and fun environment to meet, drink, host and talk business with suppliers and customers. A comfortable, relaxing, tactile space was a key part of the brief. We included different types of seating areas and styles of seating to give the space flexibility.

What Made This Project Unique
We were due to build this stand before the lockdowns. We had to revisit the stand multiple times over the two years, with a few false starts before we could exhibit it.
One of the challenges of taking a stand into Europe is the amount of paperwork required for customs. We created a detailed project plan to ensure we had everything required and the stand was thoroughly checked before it was reused for an exhibition in RAI Amsterdam. We managed all the paperwork associated with the stand for the client, to ensure a smooth passage.
